Where is Designer's Resource Centre located?
Our 15,000 sq. ft. showroom and workroom is at 8449 Main St #108, Vancouver, BC V5X 3M3. There is street parking on Main St and more parking behind the building, and the entrance is ground floor and wheelchair accessible. See showroom hours and directions.
Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?
No. Walk-ins are always welcome. Booking ahead ensures a member of our design team is free to walk through fabrics and options with you one-on-one.
What areas do you serve?
We work with homeowners, designers and trade clients across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, including Vancouver, the North Shore, Burnaby, Richmond and the Tri-Cities, with professional in-home measuring and installation.
Are you an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer?
Yes. Designer's Resource Centre is an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer in Vancouver. We can order any Hunter Douglas product available in Canada, including shades, blinds, shutters and drapery, and every order includes a professional check measure and installation. Is your custom drapery made in-house?
Yes. Custom drapery is where DRC began in 1984. Drapery and sheers are cut, sewn, lined and finished in our own Vancouver workroom, then installed by our team, including motorized track systems. Learn about custom drapery.
How long does a custom order take?
Timelines vary by product, fabric and fabrication, but most custom window treatments are ready within a few weeks of final order confirmation. We confirm an exact estimate with your quote.
Can blinds, shades and drapery be motorized?
Yes. Nearly every Hunter Douglas covering can be ordered with PowerView® Automation for remote, app, schedule and voice control, and compatible drapery and sheers can run on motorized tracks. Motorization is specified with the order, so it is best planned at the check measure. See installation and automation.
Do you reupholster furniture?
Yes. Our workroom reupholsters sofas, sectionals, chairs, benches, ottomans, headboards and window seats, and builds custom upholstered furniture to measure. If the frame is sound, reupholstering a well-built piece is often better than replacing it. Learn about upholstery.
Do you work with interior designers and the trade?
Yes. DRC has worked with Vancouver's interior design community since 2006, offering trade pricing where applicable, memo samples, itemized quotations, custom fabrication, delivery to site and installation. See trade services.
